What is Night Academy?
It is a program that gives students an opportunity to retrieve high school credit for classes they have FAILED during the school year.
Who attends Night Academy?
Any high school student who needs to retrieve credit to ensure timely graduation from high school is encouraged to consider this option.
What are the benefits of attending Night Academy??
Night Academy assists students in meeting the Issaquah School District standards. Students are able to retrieve credit lost during the regular school year and therefore, students who pass Night Academy classes put themselves in a better position to graduate with their class.

- Algebra 1 (LHS)
- English 9 (TMCHS)
- English 10 (TMCHS/LHS)
- English 11(TMCHS)
- English 12(TMCHS)
- European Studies (TMCHS/LHS)
- Geometry (LHS)
- Physical Science (LHS)
- U.S. History (TMCHS)
- World Studies (TMCHS)
When are Night Academy courses held?
Each class is fourteen (14) sessions, 2 hours each session, and earns .5 credit retrieval per course.
- All courses at Tiger Mountain will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. on the following dates: March 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, and 29; April 3, 5, 17, 19 and 24.
- Courses at Liberty High School will be held as follows:
- English 10 (5 p.m.-7 p.m.) and Geometry (3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.) will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays on the following dates: March 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, and 29; April 3, 5, 17, 19 and 24. (Please note these courses are offered at different times of day.)
- Algebra 1 (3:10 p.m-5:10 p.m.) and Physical Science (5 p.m.-7 p.m.) will be held Mondays and Wednesdays on the following dates: March 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, April 2, 4, 16, 18 and 23. (Please note these courses are offered at different times of day.)
- European Studies (3:00 p.m. - 5 p.m.) will be held on March 6, 8, 12, 14, 20, 22, 26, 28, April 3, 5, 16, 18, 24, and 26. (This schedule is Tuesday/Thursday one week then Monday/Wednesday the following week.)
What are the attendance requirements?
Consistent attendance is required. Students are allowed only one (1) absence per course.
What is the grading system for Night Academy?
Night Academy uses a pass/fail system of grading. Each .5 credit is awarded pending successful completion of all course work and no more than one (1) absence per course.
What is the cost per course?
Each .5 credit course is $200.00.
How do I enroll in Night Academy?
- To register: Students or their parents may pick up registration information in their school's counseling office. Information and forms are also available on the District website. All registration forms require a signature by a counselor in order to enroll.
