What are high school Career Centers?
Each high school has a Career Center where students can get help and support to identify and pursue their career interests. The Career Centers provide resources, services and information regarding:
- Apprenticeships
- Career and College advice (with students and parents, if desired)
- Career curriculum delivered to each grade level within the classroom.
- Career interest and aptitude testing
- College visits
- Community colleges
- Earning college credit while in high school (TechPrep)
- Financial aid and scholarships
- Four year colleges and universities
- Military opportunities
- NEVAC (North East Vocational Area Cooperative) with classes offered
within the Issaquah School District and neighboring districts.
- Part-time jobs and internships
- Resumes, job application and interviewing resources
- SAT & ACT
- Summer programs (campus, educational opportunities, internships)
- Technical schools
- Volunteer/community service opportunities
