A district-wide elementary report card field test is officially underway!
Teachers introduced the new report cards for grades K-5 at elementary school curriculum nights.
Last year the Elementary Report Card Work Group and District kindergarten teachers conducted a limited field test of new elementary report cards. Parents liked the clarity, conciseness, and focus of the revised report card.
Committee goals for the revised report card were to:
- align them with Washington State Grade Level Expectations (GLEs)
- align them from grade to grade
- provide consistent reporting to parents
- make them efficient for teachers and specialists to use
- meet the needs of multiple audiences (i.e., teachers, parents, students)
