Brian Deagle earned a degree in chemical engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara and his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law. He has been a member of the District Advisory Team, a group of staff, student, parent, and community representatives that discusses education and provides recommendations to the superintendent. He is also a classroom and 4-H volunteer and past member of the District’s Financial Advisory Core Team (FACT). He has a strong interest in financial planning and making sure local students—who already set the standard for achievement in the state—continue to make learning gains.

Mr. Deagle is a senior attorney at Microsoft. He and his wife have lived on the Sammamish plateau for 13 years and their two daughters attend Discovery Elementary and Pine Lake Middle School.

Ms. Fletcher is in her fourth term as a member of the Issaquah School Board. She is a past president of the Washington State School Directors Association, advocating for public schools at the state and national level. She has served two terms as Issaquah School Board president, legislative representative to WSSDA and vice chair of the King County School Directors. Past involvement with the District includes two terms as a member of the Feasibility Committee, the PTSA boards of two schools, Volunteers for Issaquah Schools, and as instructor in Parenting for Education classes through the District’s Curriculum Department. She has also served on the boards of directors of several social service organizations, and is currently a member of the Issaquah Kiwanis.

Professionally, she provides fundraising consultation to not-for-profit organizations. She and her husband and two children live in the May Valley area.

Suzanne Weaver

As the mother of two sons—one at Pine Lake Middle School and one at Skyline High School—Ms. Weaver has been an active education advocate and PTA leader at the District and state level since 1999. She has also served on the District Advisory Team, bond and levy scoping committees, District budget committees, and the advisory council for the Issaquah Schools Foundation. From 2002-2004, she was the parent representative on the Olympian Coalition, which promotes Issaquah schools’ legislative agenda.

Ms. Weaver has a BA in French studies and mathematics from Brown University and a MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. She previously worked as a controller for several large corporations. She and her husband have been married for 30 years.

Mr. Winkler’s previous position as the national liaison to the Association of Educational Service Agencies in Washington D.C. has given him invaluable national perspective on educational issues. He also has extensive experience in public and private sector organizations, including service as a United States Army officer. He holds a degree in Communications and a masters degree in business management.

He is a board member of the Issaquah Schools Foundation and served as a charter member of the District Advisory Team. He has a track record of work in the Career and Technical Education committee structure, PTSA, district budget committees and with local service clubs.

Mr. Winkler serves as Issaquah School Board Legislative Liaison.

Mr. Winkler has two children, one who attends Pacific Cascade Freshman Campus and the other who is in college.

Ms. Woldseth is a former high school English teacher, earned her degree and teaching credentials from Seattle Pacific University. She has been an active Issaquah School District volunteer and community member for more than 10 years. Her service in the PTSA and PTSA Council has earned her “Outstanding PTSA Leader” and several “Golden Acorn” awards.

Ms. Woldseth, who was recently elected as Board President for 2007-08, is now serving her third term as a member of the board. She is a member of the Washington State School Directors Association (WSSDA) Interscholastic Activities Committee and is the Issaquah School District Board liaison to the WIAA.

Past District service includes Volunteers for Issaquah Schools, Issaquah Schools Foundation, School Construction Guidelines Committee Chair, Issaquah Schools Safety Committee, and Cougar Ridge Community Advisory Council Chair.

Ms. Woldseth is employed by United Way of King County in Donor Relations and lives with her husband and three sons.
