High School Academics

*In 2010, Washington state replaced the high school Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL) with the High School Proficiency Exam (HSPE), which 10th-graders take in the content areas of reading, writing, and science. The math WASL has been replaced by End of Course (EOC) assessments, which students take at the end of their algebra and geometry courses, whatever their grade level.
