Issaquah School District launched one of the state's first Educational Technology programs when voters made funding possible by approving a 1988 Technology levy. Since then, subsequent levies have continued funding for technology's ever-growing importance as a learning and teaching tool.
Technology in schools today is as basic as paper, books, and pens. In fact, its seamless incorporation into daily classroom activities is a living enactment to meet the district Technology Ends "Students will understand and apply current and emerging technologies to extend their personal abilities and productivity."
