Spring 2007 WASL
High school students throughout the district will take the math and science Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL) April 17-20. Students in grades 3-8 will take the WASL April 17- May 4.
Who?
Students in grades 3-8 will take the
WASL during the April 17-May 4 testing
window.
- Sophomores at all district high schools
- Freshmen who pre-registered before February 9
- Juniors who have never taken the WASL or who did not meet standard in math or science
- Seniors who pre-registered before February 9
- All students in grades 3-8
When? Testing begins promptly at the start of school each morning. (see testing schedule below)
What? Students must be present each day to receive a score for that content area. There are no make-ups allowed for the high school WASL.
Next Steps The next opportunity for high school WASL testing after the April testing window will be August 6-10 for students currently in grades 10 and 11. Results for high school reading, writing and math tests will be available in early June. Registration for August testing will begin in June. High school science results and all results for students in grades 3-8 will be available in September.
