High school sports registration
The school board voted in 2006 to revise the athletic code so sanctions for student athletes discovered in possession of or under the influence of drugs or alcohol focus more on treatment, with increased penalties for repeat offenders. Each student-athlete is required to attend one drug/alcohol symposium per year prior to the beginning of the sports season in which s/he is participating. Student-athletes may attend any one of the sessions offered.
The drug/alcohol symposiums for the 2007 fall sports season are listed below:
- Monday, August 27, 7-8 p.m., Issaquah High School
- Tuesday, August 28, 7-8 p.m., Liberty High School
