All Issaquah schools will start at least one hour late on Thursday, Jan. 18. There will be no mountain transportation. Please refer closely to the grids on the Emergency Transportation Bulletin for more information about how this affects bus service in your neighborhood and the cancellation of programs and activities.
We know that many roads are clear of ice and slush, but areas of the District still need time to warm in the morning so roads will be navigable for students and buses. We need to be sure every student is safe. In case road conditions worsen, check for updates after 5 a.m. tomorrow at the District's homepage or schoolreport.org and on local television and radio stations.
Because schools are one hour late with no mountain transportation, all before-school activities, including School Age Care, are cancelled. Headstart, preschool, and morning kindergarten are NOT cancelled. After school activities and programs are NOT cancelled.
What does "No Mountain Transportation" mean?
No pick-up or drop-off transportation will be provided to specific mountain areas. If you live in any of the areas below, refer to the "No Mountain Transportation Areas" section in the Emergency Transportation Bulletin for the emergency stop closest to your specific mountain area. If your area is NOT listed in the "No Mountain Transportation Areas" section of the emergency bulletin, your students will be picked up and dropped off at their regular bus stops.
