·        Because school was closed on Friday, December 15, after power outages and blocked roadways affected every school in the District, another make-up day has been added to the end of the school calendar. The last day of school in the Issaquah School District is now Thursday, June 28.

 

Administrators are still committed to keeping high school graduation dates and times the same for seniors.

 

 

Tiger Mountain Community High School has decided to move its graduation ceremony from Tuesday, June 19, to Thursday, June 21.

 

 

·        The Issaquah School Board meets tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 3, at the administration building to publicly interview the two community members who applied to fill the vacant Board seat. The Board will first meet in a closed executive session to discuss real estate and labor negotiations at 5:30 p.m. At 6:30, the Board will hold a work-study session to finalize interview questions. At 7 p.m., the Board will conduct the interview.

 

The deadline for submitting questions to be used during the interview process has been extended to noon tomorrow. Send your suggested interview questions to schoolboard@issaquah.wednet.edu.

 

The Board will vote in public to select the new board member at its regular business meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 10.

 

·        All freshmen who want to take the high school WASL this spring and all juniors and seniors who want to retake the high school WASL this spring must pre-register between January 9 and February 9, 2007. Sophomores do not need to pre-register. They are automatically enrolled.
