review process! The School Board will tackle these topics and more
tomorrow, January 9, during a work-study session at 6 p.m. and a business
meeting at 7 p.m. at the Administration
Building. The Board will also continue to discuss elementary facility
options—including the future of Clark and the
planned 15th elementary on the Sammamish Plateau—although no action
is expected. The
complete agenda is online.
- Would you like to
take part in developing the Passage
Point project? The YWCA will hold an organizing meeting for a
Community Advisory Group from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, at the Eagle
Room at Issaquah City Hall, 130 E. Sunset Way. Passage Point is a
project to convert a vacant rehabilitation facility near Maple Valley into supportive housing for
single parents who are reuniting with their children after a period of
incarceration or treatment. The Issaquah School
District will educate the children living at
Passage Point. Organizers would like local parents and other community members
living near Passage Point to be included on the Community Advisory Group. For
more information, contact YWCA Regional Director Linda Rasmussen, 425-226-1266
ext. 1018 (this is a corrected phone number).
