1.      You could volunteer for the entire day (7a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov 1, 2, 3, or 4)

2.      You could visit during the hours that Challenge Days is open to the public.  On Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, that is from 1:00-2:00 pm.  On Wednesday, those times are from 1:30 to 2:30 pm.  Those who have attended verify that the last hour is the most powerful time of day.

·        LHS science teacher Mark Buchli to represent the district and Liberty at two national conferences. Buchli is already a member of the WALTA cosmic ray detector team in Washington as is Tom Haff of Issaquah High School.   Through their involvement with WALTA, Buchli and his students have been chosen to take part in SuperComputing 2005 from November 12-15 in Seattle. The program’s theme this year is “Engaging and Empowering Educators; High Performing Classrooms.”

In January 2006 Buchli will attend the National Partners in Science conference in San Diego.  He will be there as a grant awardee from Partners.  “Following my two years as a Partners in Science research teacher, I was awarded a sizable grant to integrate my research experience into my Honors Physics classroom.  Having completed one year of that process, I have been asked to present my methods and findings at this conference,” said Buchli.
