Subject: Important meeting about elementary facility options for the future

Important meeting about elementary facility options for the future!
While collecting enrollment and growth projection data for the upcoming boundary review process, we have confirmed that Clark Elementary will operate significantly under capacity if we proceed with the current plans for school construction as approved by voters in the 2006 bond and levy measure. Therefore, the School Board will meet in a work-study session at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at the Administration Building, to begin hearing data to determine whether it will be practical and fiscally responsible to run both Clark Elementary School and the planned 15th elementary school on the Sammamish Plateau in the future.

The public is invited as audience members as the Board takes the first step to answer the question: What’s best for students—operating both Clark and the new elementary or one or the other? Work-study sessions do not include time for public-input, although many opportunities for community feedback will be available as the Board decides how to move forward.
