Subject: THREE important weather messages

1.      Weather conditions are deteriorating this afternoon.  Therefore…..  ALL after school activities are cancelled today.  This includes in-district AND out of district activities for all schools.

2.  All afternoon transportation routes are on regular schedule and regular stops.

3.  Because middle schools have a shortened day tomorrow for report card writing, the question has come up, “What happens tomorrow for middle schools if the weather gets worse.”  Here’s the plan:

·        If school is delayed for morning weather conditions tomorrow, middle school students would, therefore, be in class for a very short time – essentially enough time to come to school and get ready to leave.

·        Therefore, IF weather conditions cause us to delay school district-wide tomorrow, we will also CLOSE middle schools for that day – just middle schools.  (This does not include Echo Glen)  The rest of the district’s schools will start after any possible delay.

Watch for information regarding school tomorrow on the district website.  School and district phone numbers will have weather closure or delay messages if the weather impacts school schedules tomorrow.
