Issaquah School District E-News

The Issaquah School District Bond and Levy Scope Committee dates are set for nine different Thursday evenings between now and May 18. All meetings are open to the public.

The committee will recommend the content of potential ballot issues for February 2006. They will consider replacement levies or bonds that may encompass any combination of:

1. Replacement Maintenance and Operations levy which provides about 19 cents of every dollar in the District budget.

2. Replacement Educational Technology levy to maintain networking and communications systems, buy new classroom hardware and software, and support modern business and operations systems.

3. Replacement School Bus levy to buy new buses for enrollment growth and to replace old buses with more cost efficient ones.

4. Construction bond or capital levy to complete major repairs and/or modernize schools.
