How can building a middle school on the Sammamish Plateau affect students in every school across the District? Why should taxpayers care? Take time to understand the complex concerns about building the fifth middle school. The School Board is holding a public hearing the night of Tuesday, Feb. 13, to address the question: “Do changing conditions warrant repurposing bond funds to alleviate middle school crowding through a different option than building a middle school?”

Board members last week elected Jan Woldseth as President and Connie Fletcher as Legislative Representative for the year. The newly reorganized Board now looks forward to a busy February.

Do you know a young aspiring artist? Encourage her/him to submit a masterpiece to be considered for the 2007-08 District/Issaquah Schools Foundation calendar. The Issaquah Schools Foundation also needs sponsors who would like to place an ad in the calendar, which is mailed to every District family.
