·        The Boundary Review Committee will convene for the first time from 6-8:30 p.m. tomorrow night, Wednesday, February 27, at the Administration Building. The agenda and more information are available online. Make sure to keep checking this webpage to stay updated throughout the process! 

·        The March high-school WASL testing window is almost here, and the all-grade WASL testing window will follow soon after in April. To comply with mandatory state WASL testing requirements, we must change the school day bell schedules for students in all grades at all schools on Wednesday, March 12 and Wednesday, April 16. Good news:

• Skyline chess students recently took second place at the 41st Annual Washington State Team Chess Tournament.
• Issaquah High’s Rachel Chin had an epiphany while walking through a mall on Veteran’s Day a few years ago. She captured that experience in an essay that has won the state VFW’s Voice of Democracy contest.

• Dragons, wizards, magic wands, and more fun for the entire family: Issaquah Parks & Recreation Fantasy Friday is 7-9 p.m. Friday, February 29, at the Issaquah Community Center, 301 Rainier Blvd. S.  Families can create hats and magic wands, play games, and enjoy the carnival atmosphere.  At 8 p.m., be astounded by Jeff Evans, professional magician, as he performs family-oriented magic tricks!  Cost: $8/family at the door. This event is brought to you by the Issaquah Youth Advisory Board.
