Issaquah schools are two-hours late and buses will operate on snow routes today, Thursday, March 1. There is no out of District transportation. Snow has been accumulating in the past few hours, and the Transportation Department feels students will be safest if roads are given time to thaw.
Please check your Emergency Transportation Bulletin for more information about snow routes. The two-hour delay means all before-school activities, including School Age Care, are cancelled. Also, morning and afternoon kindergarten classes and Headstart are cancelled (full day kindergarten is not cancelled). After-school activities are NOT cancelled, but might be per school announcement.
Thank you.
How do "snow routes" affect my bus student's bus schedule?
In certain neighborhoods, students must walk to a consolidated, emergency stop. For all snow routes, students will be picked up in the morning and dropped off in the afternoon at the emergency stop, not their usual stop. If your area is NOT listed in the "snow route" section of the emergency bulletin, your students will be picked up and dropped off at their regular bus stops.
