- After several months
of deliberating, a Thurston County Superior Court judge last week issued his
decision in our multi-district lawsuit
against the state for its failure to fully fund special education. The
judge ruled that the state’s cap on the number of students who can receive
special services is unconstitutional, but he did not find the special
education funding system to be illegal. Issaquah and the coalition of
districts are now working with legislators and deciding on next
steps.
