UPDATE: The Issaquah School Board will NOT hold a work-study session tomorrow at 6 p.m.; its regular business meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Administration Building, 565 N.W. Holly St. The Board had planned to discuss a demographics report in the work-study session, but the professional demographer has requested more time to complete the report. It should be done by Sept. 19, and it will be posted online soon after. The board will re-schedule its public discussion of the report.
- Upcoming activity: The Board will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 20, to meet with Ray & Associates to create the superintendent search process. The search firm’s draft timeline for the process has been presented to the board for discussion and modification.

Final call! Anyone interested in filling the School Board vacancy in Director District 3 must turn in a complete application by noon Thursday, Sept. 14. The School Board will hold a public interview process to appoint the replacement during its business meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the Administration Building, 565 N.W. Holly St.

Janet Barry has moved this month’s “Coffee with the Superintendent” to 4-5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at the Administration Building, 565 N.W. Holly St. It had originally been scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 20. The rest of the year’s “Coffees with the Superintendent” are posted online. These are opportunities for anyone to chat informally with Dr. Barry about whatever is on their mind.
