An invitation to next Wednesday’s school board meeting:

In February 2006, voters may see four school issues on the ballot.  School District Board of Directors discusses the ballot options with community members on Wednesday, September 28 at 7 pm in the administration center board room.  The Board invites and welcomes public input.

·         Individuals willing to spend 10-20 hours (over a 5-6 month period) working with written papers and presentations. Much of this can be done through email correspondence, attaching the paper, and editing at convenience for thoughts, ideas, feasibility and grammar.

·         Individuals willing to spend 5-10 hours (over a 5-6 month period) in role-play and case study events. Give sample role-plays and conduct ten- to fifteen-minute role plays with students, after which the mentor will assess on competencies outlined in role-play lesson.

·         Individuals willing to speak in classrooms.

·         Individuals willing to provide job shadowing, apprentice or other industry experience.

How to sign up for an advisory committee or to be a mentor:

E-mail the following information to Linda Corr

·         Contact information (work, home, cell, email):

·         Area of expertise or interest

·         What are you willing to help with (written, case studies/role plays, classroom, shadowing, all)?

·         How many students are you willing to mentor?

Thanks to the Issaquah Schools Foundation and Snoqualmie Valley School District for helping to bring Retro Bill to Issaquah.
