I move the Board refer the request for additional/expanded Skyline facilities to the Bond and Levy Scope Committee, and request that they forward a recommendation on the inclusion of these items in the 2006 Bond issue to the Board for consideration at its Oct 12 board meeting. I further move that the administration be directed to provide cost estimates for these projects to facilitate the Bond and Levy Scope Committee’s work.

The Bond and Levy Scope Committee reconvenes:

·        BOUNDARY NEWS:  At their September 26 meeting, the committee evaluated four options for easing overcrowding in plateau area schools. Options 2, 3, and 4 are linked to maps clarifying proposed boundaries. These boundary changes are an interim solution until a new elementary #15 and middle school #5 can be built on the plateau. Funding for E-15 and MS -5 is included in the proposed ballot issues voters will face in February 2006.

The committee's report from September 26 has been forwarded to Superintendent Barry who will make her recommendations to the Board on October 12. Her report will be published on the website after October 5.

·        KATERI BROW ART COLLECTION additions are complete for this year.  Maywood Middle School student unveiled the final piece at the board meeting on September 28.  Each year the district buys student work which is on display at the administration service center.
