Subject: Teachers contract; WASL scores; and more ...

·        Hooray! Issaquah has adopted a three-year teachers contract that increases pay and benefits, provides professional development training opportunities, and focuses Wednesdays’ teacher development time on mission-driven goals.  “This contract is good for teachers and it’s good for student achievement,” Dr. Steve Rasmussen said. “We can all be excited about that.”

·        WASL score sheets from the spring 2007 assessment will be in families’ mailboxes by the end of September.

·        Reminder: The School Board will hold a regular business meeting next Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. at the Administration Building, 565 N.W. Holly St. This is a change from the usual Wednesday time slot. The Board will meet beforehand for a work-study session on Policy Governance. Check online Monday for a complete agenda.

·        Please read the important safety, health, and equal-rights notices that are posted online at www.issaquah.wednet.edu/district/home/fineprint.asp. You will find information about asbestos, nondiscrimination, pest management, possession of firearms, sexual harassment, Title IX, and more.
