The event is created for women of all ages, abilities and fitness levels. You will be supported on the way to your challenge with pre-event training rides and clinics. Sammamish Plateau Parent Networking Group
If you are interested in joining our Parent Networking Group, you can join us at our next meeting, where we will be addressing the subject of “Drugs, Alcohol and our Teens”. Our meetings are facilitated by Family and Relationship Coach, Bill Dean, and Personal Life Coach, Cherry O’Neill and we meet at the Sammamish EX3 Teen Center. You can choose between our daytime or evening meeting—-they are free, no registration or membership is required, so come check us out and bring your questions and concerns. The Issaquah Community Network is seeking applicants for its volunteer board of directors
The Issaquah Community Network is a state-sponsored organization dedicated to supporting healthy youth, family and community. In recent years, the Network has focused on youth suicide prevention, decreasing depression and risky behaviors among young people, increasing availability of family counseling services, and using data from the Healthy Youth Survey to improve community health efforts. The Issaquah Community Network is developing a partnership with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation to help extend DVR services to youths with disabilities. Applicants should reside or work within the Issaquah School District boundaries. apply, send a letter to Barbara de Michele, Executive Director, at 580 Front Street South, Unit C-215, Issaquah, WA 98027 or by e-mail to issaquahcommunitynetwork@mindspring.com. In the letter, explain why you would be interested in becoming involved with the Network, and list other community activities and interests. A resume would be welcome. The deadline for letters of interest is Monday, October 3, 2011. A knowledge or background in human services provision, or working with young people, is desirable but not required. The Issaquah Community Network board meets four times a year, with additional meetings scheduled as needed. Board members may also be asked to assume volunteer tasks in furtherance of the Network goals. More information is available on the Network website at www.issaquahcommunitynetwork.com.
