Community Fliers for Cascade Ridge
NW Juniors Elite Volleyball Club

Northwest Juniors Elite VBC is holding an open house for all families currently with NW Juniors and all future NW Juniors families interested in getting more information about our club. The meeting is on Sunday, October 26th at Tillicum Middle School (16020 SE 16th St., Bellevue, 98008).

Drop in and learn more about our program and hear about our plans for the 2014-15 USA Volleyball Junior Season. We are excited about the direction we are going and want to share with you! There will be two sessions to address specific age group questions.  You can attend either session for general information, but we recommend attending the session specific to your age group:

  • U-12 – U-14 age groups (5th – 8th graders):      4:30 – 5:30 PM
  • U-15 – U-18 age groups (9th – 12th graders):    5:30 – 6:30 PM

Dribble, Shoot, Score!

The YMCA is offering winter youth basketball leagues for grades K-6 from December 15 to March 7. Teams are co-ed and will be coached by volunteers. Parents/chaperones are asked to attend all practices and games. Each team will have on practice during the week and a game on Saturday or Sunday afternoons. Teams are formed by the practice location and time that best fit your schedule. Games will be on a rotating schedule starting January 10. Games will take place at the Coal Creek or Bellevue Family YMCA. Players are welcome to bring their own basketballs and should dress in athletic attire. Issaquah Ski and Snowboard School

Issaquah Ski and Snowboard School, dedicated to providing safe and fun snow sports experiences for students 2nd through 12th grade. Eight Saturday classes starting January 10th. Register online at issaquahskischool.org

Life Enrichment Options Zumba Classes

LEO is an Issaquah based nonprofit organization that supports those with developmental disabilities. We are excited to offer Zumba classes taught by Jill Saitta, a certified Zumba instructor. Music Works Northwest

Find a music education experience for every age, interest, and ability. We offer lessons, classes, and ensembles, as well as music therapy programs for students with special needs. New Saturday ART WORKSHOPS for kids, ages 6-10, through Smart with Art and Issaquah Parks & Recreation. Art topics include: Fashion Design on October 11, Halloween Painting on October 18, Fall Watercolor on November 15, and Holiday Gift of Art on December 6. Eastside Enrichment registration is now open for Fall Quarter Classes

Please join the Friends of Youth by attending the 2nd Annual Rise and Thrive Breakfast. 2014 MathComp and ScienceFun Program

The 2014 MathComp and ScienceFun Program is a competition to promote an interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). This competition includes a 60 minute MathComp for grades 3-8 and a 60 minute ScienceFun paper structure competition for students grades 3-8. 3rd Annual Down Syndrome Awareness Soccer Game

Issaquah and Liberty High Schools Girls C Soccer Teams will be hosting their 3rd Annual Down Syndrome Awareness Game on October 29 at 7pm at Liberty High School. With your help, they would like to identify community members with Down Syndrome that have positively impacted the community and recognize them at the game with a scarves salute and player meeting. Voice Mentor Program: Helping Students Find Their VOICE
VOICE is an in-school volunteer mentoring program helping students in ALL Issaquah schools. VOICE is powered by caring community volunteers who donate one hour a week to mentor students in a one-to-one school setting. Placements are made based on the mentors’ interests, location preference and time availability. For further information contact: VOICEMentorProgram.org. Winter Basketball Leagues

Come join the Issaquah Parks & Recreation Department for the  basketball fun! The goal of this program is to provide an opportunity for the recreational basketball player to sharpen skills and broaden his/her knowledge of basketball with an emphasis on fun, learning, and good sportsmanship. K-2nd graders will have four total practices and six Saturday games. 3rd- 8th grade will have one mid-week practices throughout the season and eight Saturday games. 9th- 11th grade will play 8 Saturday games with no practices. Sammamish Teen Talent Show

Join the Sammamish Arts Commission for the Sammamish Teen Talent Show on November 8 at 7:00pm at the EX3 Teen Center, 825 228th Ave. NE, Sammamish. This free event boasts signing, dancing, drama, and musical performances by local talent.
