STEM Lego Summer Camps in Issaquah

Register today for summer camps (space is limited) at :   http://leap4kidz.com/index.php?mod=category&id_ctg=3301&sch_id=52   Camps is held at the Downtown Historic Shell Station.  The camps encourage creativity and imagination while teaching science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) as well as critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork!

Issaquah Family Drop-in Center
Is your family experiencing housing instability  The Family Drop-in Center is an interfaith grass-roots effort serving Families from the Issaquah School District who have lost or are about to lose their home. Our volunteers are there to offer a listening ear, companionship, and advocacy to you during this time of housing instability.  For support visit:  The Community Hall, 180 E Sunset Way on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:15 to 3:15 PM.  For further information, or to offer assistance in this effort, please contact the Issaquah Sammamish Interfaith Coalition at 206-478-3899
Issaquah Soccer Club - Spring Tryouts and Fall registration

Founded in 1980, the Issaquah Soccer Club has established itself as a valuable member of the greater Issaquah/Sammamish communities and is dedicated to promoting sportsmanship and the love of soccer. The Issaquah Soccer Club is home to over 300 youth soccer teams, helping more than 3,000 children each year, learn, compete and grow as athletes and citizens. The club is one of the largest and most successful youth soccer clubs in the Northwest.

Community Day of Service

Foreign Language Classes

Foreign Language for Youth is offering language classes to students at Issaquah area elementary schools before and after school beginning October, 2014 and ending in Spring, 2015. Tuition is $299 (less than $7.50 for a 40 minute lesson). If you are interested, please visit the website. Let us know your language preferences and schedule. We will try to get a class close to you. Classes are being planned now and students can get a $25 discount if they Pre-register before June 30. Live Educational Performance of Flamenco Gitana at the Issaquah Library

Celebrate Dia on May 1st at 11:30 am at the Issaquah Library!  This lively interactive performance features beautifully costumed dancers and musicians under the direction of the international Spanish Dance Society's Maestra Maria Gitans. 

Tiger Kids & Family Martial Art classes

Fun ongoing programs for the whole family! Age appropriate classes developing coordination,
improved motor & listening skills through the use of games, training aids, bag kicking & padded sword sparring.  Students can progress in Belts/Rank learning the simple moves of Taekwondo/Karate to the Ninja Turtles (Kobudo weaponry), Kung-Fu of Choy Lay Fut,  Ip Man Wing Chun (Bruce Lee's Teacher) and Philippine Kali/Eskrima all in a step by step process while having fun & getting fit!
Classes are taught by someone who knows the difference in all of the Martial Arts! An AAU All American, multiple National & International Champion and  9th Degree Master, Mitch Mayberry is trained & certified in Asia in Kung-fu, Karate-Kobudo, Taekwondo/Hapkido & Kali/Eskrima. Skyhawks Summer Sports Camps - Issaquah Parks & Rec

The Issaquah Parks & Recreation Department proudly welcomes back Skyhawks Summer Sports Camps in Issaquah.  These programs are available for children ages 4  to 14.  Programs will run from June 23 to August 29 and include the following sports: Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, Mini-Hawks, Golf, Flag Football, Lacrosse, Volleyball and Cheerleading and more!  Each participant enrolled in a Skyhawks program receives a t-shirt, as well as a sport-specific ball for soccer, basketball, flag football, volleyball and Mini-Hawk Multi-sport programs. Black and White Poetry - a "Shelebration" for Kids

Thursday, April 24th 6:30pm Sammamish Library (822 228th Ave SE 425-392-3131).  Family program, all ages welcome.  Celebrate poetry month with Shel Silverstein's classics Where the Sidewalk Ends, A Light in the Attic, Falling Up and more.  Listen and learn about poetry, decorate some black and white cookies and open your imagination to Shel's whimsy with words!  registration not required.

Mountains to Sound Greenway’s - Spring Volunteer Events

Issaquah Parks & Recreation, Elite Youth Camps and Isaiah Thomas are presenting the 3rd Annual Elite Skills Clinic at the Issaquah Community Center!

Come receive personal instruction from one of the greatest Washington Huskies of all time! Isaiah will not just be stopping in to shake a few hands, he will be involved hands on during the clinic. Our coaches include current/former University of Washington players as well as other former college and pro players that have been coaching at additional Elite Sports Camps around the country! Each camper will receive an official Isaiah Thomas Hoops T-shirt and a signed 8 x 10. This event is for hoopers of all skill levels, boys & girls from the ages of 6-16.
