Administrators are working with families across the district to better understand policy and concerns

Tuesday, November 6, 2012

In summer 2012, the superintendent announced a tentative plan for helping families, principals, teachers, and administrators better understand the purpose of homework and the district’s policy. To support the process, the community was invited to a screening of the documentary "Race to Nowhere" in October, which was followed by a discussion using guiding questions. Throughout the remainder of the calendar year, individual PTSA units will be using the same guiding questions to have conversations at the school level. The resulting feedback will be compiled by the PTSA Council and presented to the Superintendent. Check with your local PTSA if you would like to take part in a homework conversation.
