Long-time ISD Board member will resign from her local position on Sept. 9
After 16 years serving students as an Issaquah School Board member, Connie Fletcher will resign from her local position at the Sept. 9 meeting in order to accept a nomination to the Washington State Board of Education.
It’s a natural progression, according to Fletcher, since she has often discovered the root of an issue to be at the state level while advocating for local children.
Fletcher announced that she would not seek another term on the Issaquah School Board earlier this year. Two candidates, Marnie Maraldo and Wright Noel, are running in the election this November to fill her seat.
