Open Enrollment and Student Transfers

Each February, the Issaquah School District accepts applications from students who wish to transfer between buildings within the district or who want to transfer to Issaquah from another district the following September.

The following schools may be available for open enrollment at some grade levels for Fall 2008:

The following schools are closed: Closed schools may take students on a one-in, one-out basis. Families may apply to attend a closed school, but entrance cannot be assured.

Students who transfer into the Issaquah District from other districts must reapply each year and continuing open enrollment is not guaranteed from year to year.

Pacific Cascade Freshman Campus
February's open enrollment period is an especially important time for 8th grade students who are going to Pacific Cascade Freshman Campus (PCFC) next year. Athletic eligibility for 10th grade is tied to each 9th grade athlete’s intended high school. For example, an Issaquah Middle School 8th grader who’d like to attend Skyline High School in grades 10-12, must apply in the 8th grade to attend Skyline if he or she intends to play high school sports as a freshman and beyond.

In some cases, academic classes and programs may differ between Skyline and Issaquah High School and might influence attendance choices. ROTC students that transfer must remain in the program to stay at their current school or they will need to reapply.

Applications for transfers are available in schools, you may request them by calling Debbie Romano at 425-837-7010, or you may download the transfer form and policy below.

Send your completed transfer request to Debbie Romano at the Administration Buiding, 565 NW Holly Street, Issaquah, WA 98027, or you may fax the form to her at 425-837-7005.
