Beaver Lake and Pine Lake good deeds reach worldwide
BEAVER LAKE: Connecting with kids in need halfway around the world
What would it be like to have no basic necessities like pencils, books, or even shoes at school each day?
That thought motivates Beaver Lake students every year during a massive drive to collect education materials, clothing, toys, money, and other materials to help youth in need in South Africa. When the boxes and boxes of materials are ready to ship, several Beaver Lake staff members personally deliver the items during the summer and report back to students about the difference their donations have made.

PINE LAKE: Loose Change to Loosen Chains
Slavery is not a relic of the past-but Pine Lake students are hoping it might be soon. They recently raised more than $15,000 in a spare-change drive to combat modern-day slavery through
International Justice Mission.
Because it takes about $350 to secure legal and police resources to help free a slave (such as a Thai trapped in a sweatshop), Pine Lake's efforts will liberate almost 43 people around the world.
