BINGO was a big winner at Beaver Lake
The hottest ticket in Sammamish on Friday, March 16, was for Beaver Lake Middle School's BINGO night. While there were plenty of prizes (a few hundred given away) and food (90 pizzas), this first-annual event was all about the community.
Students, staff, parents, and other community members filled the commons to capacity. Local businesses donated money and items for the BINGO games and door prizes. School staff members served as game callers. Students built excitement in the preceding weeks by making posters and staging BINGO practice sessions during lunches. Everyone got into the spirit!
Plans are already underway for a bigger BINGO night next year with added capacity.
