Meet the Principal

About Principal Dana Bailey

Mrs. Bailey has served as principal of Pacific Cascade Freshman Campus since it opened in September of 2005. Prior to that, she was Pine Lake Middle School's Assistant Principal since the 2001-02 school year. She has a B.S. from Seattle University where she was that University’s Outstanding Graduate from the School of Education. Her master’s degree from Purdue is in Special Education. Her administrative credentials are from Central Washington. When she was selected as Pine Lake’s assistant principal, she had taught seven years at Tyee High School and Chinook Middle School in Highline.

Mrs. Bailey is known for her work ethic, organizational skills, close connection with students; clear, fair discipline; knowledge of the classroom, and support of others and the learning environment.

Welcome to the new Pacific Cascade Middle School website! We have made some plans for you.

In January, we will be hosting a 5th grade parent night and a 5th grade visit to Pacific Cascade and will be collecting registration forms from families. We hope this day will allow students to meet each other, and to become more comfortable with the new school. It is critical to also stay focused on finishing 5th grade strong! We're hoping that this evening for parents will give an opportunity to see the elective and core offerings for students, as well as give an opportunity to ask questions.

In February, we will be hosting a 6/7th grade evening visit for students and families to tour the school, and will be collecting registration materials from families. It is our hope for students that they'll see the faces of their new school-mates, and we can answer questions about the transition from Pine Lake and Issaquah Middle to Pacific Cascade. It will be from this group of kids that we'll work to create our ASB and we'll need to hear the student voice on desires for program and athletics!

Core Team applications will be distributed soon, and we will be looking for parents to participate in the planning team for PCMS. The Core Team will meet throughout the spring and early summer to prepare for the opening in September; there is so much to be done! We need to create a Site Council, a PTSA, an ASB, select new school colors, and lay the groundwork for the culture of school.
