ISD Online Learning Health Summer 2019

  • Students in grades 8-12 during the 2018-2019 school year.  Priority is given to 11th and 12th grade students.

Online Health - High School Only   None
Online Health - Middle School Only  $400

 Refund and Drop Policy

  • If a fee is assessed and a course is dropped prior to June 18, 2019, a full refund will be issued. There are no refunds for courses dropped on or after June 18, 2019.
  • Students may drop the course with no grade penalty within the first 2 days of class.
  • Day 3 to 5  the student will receive a "W" on their transcript.
  • On or after day 6 the student will receive an "F" on their transcript.


  • The course will follow Issaquah School District’s current Health curriculum.

  • Students can expect to spend at least 15 hours per week working on the course. The course will follow Issaquah School District’s current Health curriculum.

In-Person Requirements

Location for all in-person sessions:  Issaquah High School, Library

  • All students are required to attend an in person orientation

    • Orientation - UPDATED

      • Tuesday, June 18th 3 pm-4 pm or

      • Tuesday, June 18th 4:15 pm-5:15 pm 

  • Coursework is done online; however, the midterm and final exams will be taken in-person proctored by Issaquah School District personnel.

    • Midterm Exam (units 1-4)

      • Tuesday, July 9th 12-1 pm or

      • Tuesday, July 9th 4-5 pm or

      • Wednesday, July 10th 8-9 am or

      • Wednesday, July 10th 12-1 pm

    • Final Exam (units 1-10)

      • Monday, July 29th 12-1 pm or

      • Monday, July 29th 4-5 pm or

      • Tuesday, July 30th 8-9 am or

      • Tuesday, July 30th 12-1 pm

  • Students must also attend First Aid and CPR/AED training.  They can attend a free class offered during the summer through the online Health class (additional cost for certification card) or at their own expense from an outside provider (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, etc).  If a student is already certified by AHA or the Red Cross they need to submit a copy of their current card to their teacher through Canvas and do not need to attend.

While students can work ahead in the course, late work will not be accepted. All coursework must be complete prior to taking the final exam.

Students who successfully complete the course will earn 0.5 credit

• This course DOES count as 0.5 CTE credit.

• This course is NOT considered an outside credit and does NOT count against the 4.0 outside credit limit.
