Ein McKee has had the honor of serving as an Issaquah School District administrator for the past 7 years at both Maywood Middle School and Liberty High School. She began her teaching career as an elementary Special Education paraeducator. Prior to joining the ISD, she taught middle school and high school in western Washington, Japan and India. Principal McKee lives in Kennydale, Renton with her husband and two young and active daughters. She takes great pride in her work as a principal and cares deeply about the communities who will be served by Middle School 6. Principal McKee is very much looking forward to meeting you and your students soon!
Principal McKee is fortunate to work in coordination with five Core Team members that have tremendous knowledge, experience and commitment to ISD students! They have been working together since December to build Middle School 6 and plan school programing. These five core team members will continue as staff in the fall as well. Meet the team below!
I have had the great fortune to spend my entire teaching career at Issaquah Middle School. I have taught math, science, support classes and electives. I have also coached volleyball, supervised clubs, and have been a volunteer in my own sons’ classrooms as they made their way through the ISD. I love helping students see that math is everywhere and that math is fun! Although it is difficult to leave my IMS family, I know MS6 will be full of amazing staff, students and families. I am so excited that our new school is in Talus, where I live and play! #walktowork #countonme
This is my 24th year teaching in Issaquah. My career started in a central WA middle school, and I am thrilled to once again work with kids this age! Since joining the ISD, I have taught 4th and 5th grade as well as in the elementary library. I’m so excited to already know so many of the students coming to this amazing new school. Connecting kids to great books and resources is something I truly love! #youmatter #thelauraberrian
This is my 14th year teaching middle school. I love helping students realize their potential, explore interests, and make connections. I believe that students learn more when they are authentically engaged. I have three young boys who keep me busy and active. When I am not roaming the halls of middle school or being a boy mom, you might find me in scuba gear exploring the depths of the Puget Sound. #youarecapableofmorethanyourealize
This is my 14th year teaching music for the Issaquah Schools, and I am excited to be our new Choir Teacher! My favorite part about teaching music is being able to watch students grow not only musically, but to wonderful people with diverse interests over many years of time. I grew up in Bozeman, MT and have a twin sister. My husband and I have two young daughters in the Issaquah School District, and we enjoy being active community members. #letsgetsinging
This is my 6th year teaching in ISD and too many to count when I lived in California. I enjoy sharing my favorite young adult authors and am passionate about helping kids find their writing voice. I live in the ISD and have two active teenage daughters. #LiveworkplayISD
