Maple
Remodel and potential expansion of existing building.
The Maple Hills Expansion and Remodel will provide modifications and potentially add classrooms to the existing building. An earlier office remodel was completed in 2016 to improve safety and security. Bus and vehicle drop-off areas were reconfigured to enhance safety and traffic flow prior to the 2017 school year.

June 2021

  • Work to include; full HVAC replacement, fire sprinkler system replacement, enclosed walkway to the Gym area, exterior repaint and possibly some new limited room reconfigurations.
  • Phase 1 demolition complete, construction/installation of the boiler room, ball room, hydronic piping, VAV boxes, electrical underway.
  • The painting of the exterior of the building is complete.
  • Construction expected to be complete late-Fall, early-Winter 2021.

May 2021

  • Work to include; full HVAC replacement, fire sprinkler system replacement, enclosed walkway to the Gym area, exterior repaint and possibly some new limited room reconfigurations.

  • Project demolition and construction underway.

  • Construction expected to be complete late Fall, early Winter 2021.

March 2021

  • Project went out for bid and bids were received. The Contractor has been chosen, contract has been executed and we are in the process of scheduling construction activities.
  • ISD and the Design Team continue to work with the Principal and Staff to refine the final layouts, color selections, etc.
  • Work to include; full HVAC replacement, fire sprinkler system replacement, enclosed walkway to the Gym area, exterior repaint and possibly some new limited room reconfigurations.
  • The painting of the exterior of the building
    is complete.
  • Construction to begin March 2021.

January 2021

  • Project is out to bid and bids are due February 10th, 2021. Bids will be assessed at that time and final scope of work moving forward established.
  • The building permit from King County has been received. Scheduled to go out for bid in late January 2021 with a construction start in Spring 2021.
  • ISD and the Design Team continue to work with the Principal and Staff to refine the final layouts, color selections, etc.

  • Capital Projects and Cornerstone Architectural Group are continuing with design development and meeting with staff on program needs, this is about 70% complete.
  • Capital Projects is working through various cost exercises to determine what the final budget will be for the construction of the project. HVAC and Fire Sprinkler upgrade needs are currently over half of the overall budget.

March 2020

  • Capital Projects and Cornerstone Architectural Group are continuing with design development and meeting with staff on program needs, this is about 65% complete.
  • CP and Design team are working with the Mechanical Engineer to locate boiler room and determine what HVAC system design is best for the school.
  • CP is working through various cost exercises to determine what the final budget will be for the construction of the project. HVAC and Fire Sprinkler upgrade needs are currently over half of the overall budget
