If you can read, write, speak, and listen in a language other than English, you might consider taking the World Language Test. This test provides opportunity for you to earn high school credit by completing this test successfully.
The World Language Test can be provided in the following languages:
- Mandarin (Simplified and Traditional)
- Filipino (Tagalog)
- Somali-Maay Maay
You can earn up to four (4) high school credits depending on how you score on the test. As such, you may meet the WA State world language requirements for graduating based on your score. You may also qualify for a Seal of Biliteracy on your high school diploma. The rating scales for earning credit is:
- Intermediate High and above = 4 credits
- Intermediate Low = 3 credits
- Novice High = 2 credits
- Novice Mid = 1 credit
- Novice Low = 0 credits
This test is provided at no cost to you at Echo Glen School.
