King County Emergency Child Care for Essential Workers

King County has committed $2.2 million to provide child care, free of charge, for essential workers who live or work in King County. The funding will pay for a slot at select child care providers across the county through at least June.

To apply for this free child care, families should call the Child Care Aware of Washington Family Center at 1-800-446-1114 and complete an intake with a Resource Specialist. They have Spanish speaking representatives and can provide service in any other language, free of charge.

Verification of employment and/or home address are required to complete intake.

To expedite the intake process, families can send photos of the required verification documents to subsidy@childcare.org.
