General Questions

Do I need to have a valid driver's license uploaded to my application to be a volunteer?

Yes. However, if you are unable to provide a driver's license we are glad to accept other forms of unexpired picture ID (such as a Passport or Military ID Card). The photo ID is mandatory, your application cannot be approved without it.

I am a student interested in volunteering, can I use the portal even though I am under 18?

No, unfortunately we are unable to process applications for individuals who are under the age of 18. Please go directly to the building you are interested in volunteering at and pick-up an application packet.

I do not have a Social Security number, what should I do? Can I still volunteer?

In place of a Social Security number please use the month and date of your birthday (example: May 5th would be "0505"). We will still require unexpired photo identification with your name, birthday, and photo fully visible. Pending a satisfactory background check you are more than welcome to volunteer without a Social Security number.

How do I sign-up to volunteer once I've officially been approved for the current school year?

In order to volunteer you will need to contact any building/program you are interested in volunteering for individually. Each building/program maintains its own volunteer schedule.
