    How do I...  
    Take my child out of school earlyHave your child bring a note to the office before school indicating what time you will be picking your child up. Come into the office at least 10 minutes before you need to leave, ask to have your child called to the office and sign out your child. You may need to show ID.
    Tell the school that my child will be absent or tardyCall the school office at 425-837-6800 and press 1. Leave your child’s first and last name, grade and the reason for the absence/tardy. Please spell your student’s first and last names. Click Attendance Link on front page of the website or send an email to IMSAttendance@issaquah.wednet.edu.  Send a note with your child when they return to school.
    Find out the school daily schedulesThe school day is 8:15 am to 2:45 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10:20 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Go to the IMS website for the daily schedules.
    Arrange for a planned absence such as a family tripCollect a Pre Arranged Absence Form from the office or download one from the IMS website. The form must be signed by all teachers, a parent or guardian and approved by the Principal. Submit at least one week prior to the absence.
    Arrange for my student to ride a different busSend a note to the office before school to get a bus pass. Be aware that some buses do not have room and bus passes cannot be issued. Bus passes are not issued the first 5 days and last 2 weeks of school.

    Arrange for my student to take medication at schoolBring medication in the original container with the prescription label and completed Authorization for Administration of Medication Form to the office. Students may not carry medications including over-the-counter medications unless approved by the School Nurse and Principal. Contact School Nurse at 425-837-6817.

    Issaquah Middle School Sports Frequently Asked Questions
    What are Intramural Sports? All 6th, 7th and 8th grade students may play on the appropriate intramural team.
    How many kids make the team if there are tryouts? This depends on the sport and will be explained by the coach.
    What time is practice? Practices begin right after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
    When do Activity Buses run?

    Activity Buses run Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays when after school activities conclude.

    Check the Activity Bus Routes or in the office for bus routes.

    Note: Activity Buses do NOT stop at all the regular stops.

    How do students get to games/matches at other schools? Buses are provided to transport the team.
    What is the approximate time games are over? This depends on the game. Coaches will provide students with pick up information. Parents must pick students up as soon as buses arrive at IMS.
    Are parents welcome to attend games? Yes – parents are always welcome at games/matches. If you plan to take your student home directly from the game, you must make prior arrangement with the coach.
