ASB stands for Associated Student Body and it is our official student body organization. The ASB Leadership class is the recognized Student Government Association that represents all students at IMS. Leadership students interact with other students, staff and the administration on a regular basis to voice student needs and concerns. The goal of the ASB is to bring students together by promoting educational, cultural and social activities.

The Issaquah Middle School's governing body consists of 9 to 13 student-elected or appointed officers, as well as 10-20 appointed sound tech officers. ASB elections take place in May, these elections are for the positions of ASB President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and two 6th grade representatives and two 7th grade representatives. Sound Tech Officers are appointed by Mr. Dorsett, teacher referrals and interviews are required. Each ASB position needs someone who is a strong leader, a hard worker, and a person who truly cares about our school. We encourage all students to get involved, take a risk and participate in IMS student government! You can make a difference at Issaquah Middle School!
*All ASB officers are required to be in the Leadership/Media Production class elective. They will be in the course for the full year. All officers must ALSO become WEB Leaders—you must be able to attend the WEB Leader Training and WEB orientation, NO EXCEPTIONS. All officers must demonstrate strong leadership skills, promote a positive attitude, a willingness to work hard, cooperate, and be committed to making IMS the best school ever!
All of the money raised during our annual fundraising drive supports our extra-curricular activities such as sports teams, drama, band, chorus, orchestra, clubs, assemblies, school parties, and activity days. Issaquah Middle School would like to thank all the parents, families and community members who help us run the fundraiser every year.
Stay tuned to E-News for more announcements about the fundraiser!
