KINDNESS WEEK MARCH 9 – 13

Help us spread kindness each day this week by reminding students about the project of the day. You can also encourage your student to participate in the Kindness Challenge from Ms. Bryant. We will also be showing kindness by collecting supplies to donate to Children’s Hospital. There will be donation bins located in each grade level and the grade level with the most donations will earn a reward. Check out the Children’s Hospital Wish List to see the specific new supplies that they are most in need of. Thank you!

*You can visit Children's Hospital for their wish list.

Monday-Kindness Cookies- Sponsored by 5th grade- These will be paper cookies that student can write acts of kindness that they see in the school. There will be a spot in the lunchroom for student to put the cookies up for all to see. The kids can do this throughout the week.

Tuesday-Kindness rocks-Sponsored by 1st grade- During recess kids will be invited to decorate rocks with words or symbols of kindness. These will then decorate the school grounds.

Wednesday-Kindness Chain-Sponsored by 2nd grade- I will leave slips of paper in every teachers mailbox and students will write something kind they have done so far this week on the paper. If each class can make a chain I will then connect the chain and put it up in the hallway leading to the MPR

Thursday-Kindness Poster- Sponsored by 4th grade- During recess we will transform the wall ball area into a giant poster for kids to decorate with kind sayings and pictures and words. I will be out there taking pictures.

Friday-Kindness Dec-a-door- Sponsored by 3rd grade- We would like to invite all classrooms to decorate your doors with kindness. It’s like winter dec-a-door but kindness instead! If you need inspiration first grade has already done this! At the end of the day on Friday, 3rd grade student council and student council officers will judge the “kindest” door. The Winner will get a special reward (I’m thinking I will watch the class for an extra recess).
