The Issaquah School District Transitional Kindergarten program starts in January, 2022, and applications are open now. The program will provide identified children high-quality early learning experiences to prepare them to succeed in kindergarten and their whole academic journey.
Transitional Kindergarten is a free program for children with financial, academic and/or social-emotional needs who are not already enrolled in an early learning or preschool program. The program will focus on essential academics, social-emotional skills and learning habits. It will be held this school year, from January 10 to June 10, 2021, at Clark Elementary and will be open to students from throughout the District. District transportation will be provided.
To be eligible for screening for the program, children must:
- Not be currently enrolled in an early learning program
- Be 5 years old by August 31, 2022
- Live within the boundaries of Issaquah School District
- Demonstrate financial, academic, and/or social-emotional needs
