Forbes Recognizes Issaquah School District as a Best in Washington State Employer for 2019

The Issaquah School District (ISD) is excited to announce that it has been ranked number 10 on Forbes 2019 list of “America’s Best Employers by State” for Washington State. ISD shares the list with large employers such as Costco, Google, Boeing, and Nordstrom. It was the highest-ranked of only three school districts in the state to make the list.

“The ISD puts a tremendous focus on professional development and maintaining an excellent working relationship with our unions,” said Superintendent Ron Thiele. “Our Human Resources Department has a  motto: Connect. Honor. Empower. For us, it is a recognition that our employees are our most valuable resource when it comes to providing a high quality and inclusive education for all students. Appearing on Forbes’ list is a great honor and demonstrates our commitment as an organization to our employees, both as people and professionals.”

Forbes magazine and research company Statista surveyed approximately 80,000 people nationwide who work for organizations employing at least 500 people. They were asked about their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family, as well as 35 questions about topics such as working conditions, salary, and potential for growth. They were also asked to recommend other employers in their field. For more information, please visit the Forbes Forbes 2019 list of America’s Best in State Employers.
