Help Washington Schools by Participating in the Census

Here’s an interesting fact: Washington schools received more than a billion dollars of federal funding in 2017, including more than $230 million for special education and $257 million for school nutrition programs. Here’s another fact: The amount of funding our schools get is impacted by the results of the U.S. Census.

The Census only happens once every 10 years, and it’s right around the corner! Watch your mailbox for information from the U.S. Census Bureau with directions on how to fill out the Census. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it helps ensure that our schools get the support they deserve. Find more information at Census.gov.
