Start Your Child off Strong with ECEAP Preschool - Enrolling Now

Posted by Devin Felix on September 10, 2020

ECEAP Preschool is enrolling for the 2020-21 school year. ECEAP (Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program) is a free preschool program that serves children from low-income families or children have other risk factors.

ECEAP preschool is a free part-day program that runs three hours a day, four days a week. Classes are located at Issaquah Valley Elementary School and Briarwood Elementary School. ECEAP’s first day of school will be September 17. We will continue to enroll new students until all classrooms are filled.

To qualify, children must:

  • Live within the Issaquah School District boundaries
  • Be 3-4 years old — not yet old enough to start kindergarten
  • Come from a family that meets income requirements, and/or have other risk factors, including foster care placement, homelessness or others

Staff will work with you to determine whether your child qualifies.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, children in the program this fall will start preschool remotely from home. We will provide learning packets, free meals, and supplies for children, including a laptop to borrow from the school district if needed. Children will engage in online learning platforms, including Zoom meetings, until we can resume in the classroom. We will work alongside families and your schedules during this unprecedented time to help your child learn and grow.

If you are interested in applying, please contact Shannon Inton at and Kathy Wood at to receive an application to the program.

We will need to collect 12 months of income verification in order to process your child's application to know if they are eligible for our program. If your family's 12 months of income verification is not a true reflection of your current living situation, due to job loss, COVID-19, or for other reasons, please let us know upon contacting us. We look forward to hearing from you!
