Four Issaquah School District Staff Earn National Board Certification

Posted on December 18, 2020

Congratulations to our newly National Board Certified staff! Another four Issaquah School District educators earned their National Board Certifications, an advanced credential that shows they’re among the best educators in the country, in December 2020. The District now has more than 190 National Board Certified Teachers and Administrators on staff. National Board Certification requires educators to demonstrate advanced knowledge in their subject area, a deep understanding of students, and advanced skill in their teaching practice.

The Issaquah School District congratulates and commends each of these educators for their commitment to the teaching profession and hard work on behalf of the students they serve.

The newly certified staff are:

  • Aubreanna Clark, Issaquah Valley Elementary, 5th Grade Teacher
  • Celina Schulenberg, Sunny Hills Elementary, School Counselor
  • Andrew Shanafelt, Issaquah High School, CTE Teacher (Business and Marketing)
  • Anisa Zareh-Mohazzab, Maywood Middle School, Science and CTE Teacher (Computer Science Discoveries)
