Middle and High School Families: Choose Number of Weekly In-Person Learning Days by May 4

Posted on April 29, 2021

The Issaquah School District is evaluating whether it can expand in-person learning for grades 6-12 to offer in-person instruction an additional two days per week, allowing students to attend four days each week. This may be possible on May 10, or later, if COVID infection rates in King County return to below 200 cases per 100,000 residents for 5 consecutive workdays.

To help us plan for this possibility, all parents of middle school and high school students should indicate their commitment for whether each of their student(s) would attend in-person, and how many days per week. Here’s how:

  1. Log in to Family Access.
  2. Look for a message that says, “An online form is now available to fill out” and click the link.
  3. Respond to the question and submit the form. You can see more detailed instructions here if needed.
  4. Repeat the process for each of your middle school or high school students.

Please complete this process for each student no later than Tuesday, May 4 at 11 p.m.

This response is a commitment. We must ask for a commitment at this time in order to evaluate whether or not our facilities can accommodate the number of students wanting four days a week under the current COVID mitigation requirements. (All students will remain eligible to attend their assigned two days per week.)

If you do not respond, students will default to the current model in which they are eligible to attend in-person on two specific days per week.

Thank you.
