Say Hello to Xello! A New Tool for Middle and High School Students to Prepare for Academic, Career, and Future Success

Posted on October 12, 2021

Issaquah School District has acquired a new program, Xello, available to middle and high school students, to help them prepare for academic, career, and future success. Xello is an engaging online program that helps students build the skills, knowledge and plans to be future ready. The site uses an investigative, discovery-based learning process. Students can utilize Xello to better understand themselves, their future career options, and the 21st century skills they will need to succeed.

With Xello, your student can:

  1. Build Self-knowledge: define their interests, skills, preferences, and aspirations as they explore opportunities.
  2. Explore Options: learn about career possibilities and educational pathways by exploring rich, engaging content and lessons.
  3. Create a Plan: build a plan to pursue their school, career and life goals.
  4. Learn & Reassess: engage in interactive lessons each year to build their skills and knowledge for success in school and beyond.

The site provides a safe and secure platform where students will complete activities each year as a part of their High School and Beyond Plan. Students can also access their account anytime to explore all the tools and resources available to them. Student can access Xello by logging into ClassLink, then clicking on Xello to sign in. Once logged in, your student can share what they learn about themselves with you as a family as well. For students who have used the Career Cruising platform in the past, Xello is a part of the same provider, so items you have saved in the past may already appear in your Xello account, and you can easily toggle back to Career Cruising from your Xello account.

We hope you are just as excited as we are about this new program, and supporting every student as they prepare for their future!
