Apollo First Lego League Robotics Team Takes Part in First Competition

Posted by Elizabeth Egan on 11 January, 2018
Congratulations to the Apollo Rockets First Lego League Robotics Teams for a successful inaugural robotics competition on December 3rd! After working all fall on a hydro-dynamic project and programming multiple missions for their robots, supported by multiple parent mentors and Liberty High School coaches, four teams consisting of a total of 27 students, made three presentations to judges and attempted three separate robotic missions. Throughout their work, all teams exhibited FLL core values of team work, professionalism and cooperation. Hopping Hydras won the "Team Work" trophy for being the team that exhibited the Core Value: Team Work, and HydroBots won the "Project: Innovation" trophy for having the most innovative project. The Hopping Hydras will also be moving on to the Semi-Finals in January! We are so proud of all that these teams accomplished! Thank you to the Issaquah Schools Foundation, the Apollo PTA, and Boeing for their support.
