Seattle Sounders superstar Jordan Morris visited the ISD Family Diabetes Support Group on Tuesday, March 5. Morris told the students and their families about how he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was nine years old but hasn't let it stop him from achieving his dream of becoming a professional athlete. "This can't hold you back from doing whatever you want to do," he told the kids. Morris then signed autographs and posed for photos with the students.

Morris started the Jordan Morris Foundation to educate, inspire and support children who have type 1 diabetes The Family Diabetes Support Group was started by two ISD school nurses, Kristi Lincicome and Anne Bourne, who wanted to help families of children with type 1 diabetes connect, learn and support each other.
