IMS Green Team Rescues 300 Trees

Posted by User Not Found on 4 April, 2016

During three after-school work parties, in January and February, the Issaquah Middle School Green Team rescued more than 300 Douglas fir, hemlock, hazelnut, and big-leaf maple trees from the Tiger Mountain High School Campus. The team spared trees that would otherwise have been lost in the razing of the campus. Rescued trees ranged from six inches to four feet tall. Green team students potted the trees and will donate them to the Mountains-to-Sound Greenway next fall where they will be planted in habitat projects along the I-90 corridor.
